Evolution of Psychotherapy

Evolution of Psychotherapy

The world's largest psychotherapy conference, The Evolution of Psychotherapy 2005 celebrated psychotherapy's 120th birthday, and paid tribute to a compelling and distinguished assembly of master clinicians and theorists. We are grateful to the faculty for their landmark contributions to the field of psychotherapy, as well as for their participation in this conference, making it an unparalleled experience. This Fifth Evolution Conference also marked our most impressive and diverse audience ever, with individuals respresenting every State in the United States and fifty nations. The fifth Evolution of Psychotherapy Conference was dedicated to those presenters from the 1985, 1990, 1995 and 2000 Conferences who could not be with us, but who always be with us in spirit. Their Wisdom and knowledge have added immeasurably to the well-being of humankind. Bruno Bettleheim Murray Bowen Viktor Frankl Robert Goulding Helen Singer Kaplan Ronald D. Laing Judd Marmor Rollo May Mara Selvini Palazzoli Miriam Polster Carl Rogers Virginia Satir Carl Whitaker Lewis Wolberg Joseph Wolpe

Pioneers Of Psychotherapy

Pioneers Of Psychotherapy

Continuing in the tradition of The Evolution of Psychotherapy Conferences, the Milton H. Erickson Foundation now offers Pioneers of Psychotherapy, a collection of training tapes featuring video recordings of renowned clinicians, each of whom has made seminal contributions to the field of psychotherapy. Most of the major contemporary disciplines are represented in clinical demonstrations and discussions conducted by Aaron Beck, James Bugental, Albert Ellis, Milton Erickson, Viktor Frankl, Eugene Gendlin, William Glasser, Robert Goulding, Mary Goulding, Otto Kernberg, Ronald Laing, Alexander Lowen, Judd Marmor, Rollo May, Zerka Moreno, Erving Polster, Miriam Polster, Carl Rogers, Ernest Rossi, Virginia Satir, Thomas Szasz, Carl Whitaker, Joseph Wolpe, and Jeff Zeig.

The Pioneers of Psychotherapy series offers a unique opportunity for instruction in the practice of counseling and therapy. There are 26 videotapes featuring demonstrations of therapy and live supervision by distinguished experts. The demonstrations are unscripted applications of the techniques and interventions associated with a particular orientation, in most cases described by the originator. One tape contains a panel discussion with four of the world’s leading theorists about the practice of psychotherapy. The series is ideal for courses that focus on comprehensive training in methods of counseling and psychotherapy. It also is valuable for clinicians who want to improve their practice. Pioneers of Psychotherapy brings a broader perspective to the practice of psychotherapy.
